In the event of this fine and fabulous holiday filled to the brim with gushy, lovey goodness I had to unleash the photo beast.
Together Alyssa and I busted out some intense Valentine’s Day baking, paper card making and cupid kit assembling. It was a nice break from the books spending time in our Valentine’s sweat shop listening to NPR’s This American Life podcast special about Valentine’s Day and rocking out to Design Sponge’s Killa Valentine playlist. Oh yes, yes we did indeed… we splashed the evening in pink and red!
My parents gave this book of poems to me 13 years ago as a beloved Valentine’s Day gift.

A fresh new catalogue will always make me smile, a tall glass of lemonade signifies the start of summer. I will never underestimate the power of a post-it note. I love anything old, and with a story.
