Yes, I’m about to inundate you with a million tales and photographs of our good-times in Portland.
There is much for us to do in Stumptown every time we visit…family and friends to see, neighbourhoods to frequent, restaurants/cafes to test out…6 days is simply not enough. But I mustn’t complain, because this was a lucky addition to our end of summer schedule.
First things first, Jillian, my beloved Jillian (momma-to-be in October) was on my must see list. This would be my one and only time to see her in all her pregnant glory and I only had 5 hours to soak it all in. What better way to celebrate Jillian’s pregnancy than to bring the FR-O-Workers* together for a crafty session at Modern Domestic for a mini baby shower.
It was a street side, ecstatic meet and greet with Jillian and Teri! Yes, we put on a show, which included me jumping, hugging, and yelling.
Our mini baby shower for Jillian went off without a hitch. The ladies of Modern Domestic are amazing and gifted us with the entire downstairs sewing space, which included cutting tables, sewing machines, sergers, supplies and a place for us to nosh on fancy grilled cheese sandwiches from the oh-so gooey-good Grilled Cheese Grill.
Over the course of baby-tummy rubbing, gabbing, and snacking we cut, pinned, sewed and serged a hefty collection of cute cotton bibs and burp cloths for Jillian to take home and put to use. So, now whenever her little tot is making a mess she can think of us…
